What a GREAT accomplishment! You can all be very proud. Please congratulate them when you see them at GET FIT! Forgive us if we left anyone out, also. We have several members getting awesome results. GET FIT BOOT CAMP for Women with Lorie starts Monday – June 2nd. Are you ready to get serious for the summer? Here's your answer. 5 days a week for 4 weeks starting at 5:30 a.m. This is only for those that can commit to get results! GUARANTEED! Pre-Register as the class is limited to 12. Please put down June 28th on your calendar. We are one of only 400 facilities across the country hosting SPINNING NATION Fundraising Event. We will have four 1-hour classes to raise money for three worthy causes: Prostate Cancer Foundation – AIDS Research Alliance – Cancer Schmancer Movement (women's)
There will be more information to forthcoming. Riders can do one or all four classes. Pre-Registration is required at www.spinningnation.org.

If you're looking to lose weight, don't forget about having a smoothie after your workout to use as a meal replacement. Just a few times a week will help you in your efforts.

Our smoothies are low sugar and the average fruit smoothie is only about 200 calories with 23 grams of protein. Consider having a smoothie for your dinner or lunch and see the results!!

GET FIT has everything you need to "Spring into Fitness!" Since moving GET FIT to the Samuel Walker's Building over a year ago, it has continued to expand and flourish bringing all facets of exercise. GET FIT has two complete weight rooms, one just for Personal Training and the other is for the membership's use. We also have a large group fitness room where we offer Zumba, Spinning, Kick-Boxing, Pilates, Yoga, The Drill, Circuit Training, and a new aerobics class, Turbo Kick. Just finished is the Cardio Theater and childcare will be ready by the 15th. If all that wasn't enough, GET FIT also offers tanning, a massage therapist and we have a wonderful City Blends Smoothie Café.

Healthy Eating Tip #1: Plan Ahead

Plan your menus ahead of time to avoid last-minute pizza runs and take-out meals that can derail your progress.

Healthy Eating Tip #2: Shop Healthy

What you bring home is what you're going to eat, so make it healthy. Create a shopping list and stick to it when you go to the store. A go-to list helps prevent unplanned forays into the candy and chip aisles.

Healthy Eating Tip #3: Prep Snacks Ahead

When you get home from the store, take a few minutes to prepare a few healthy snacks for later. Wash and trim vegetable sticks; portion out pretzels, trail mix, etc. into snack-size baggies; and put fruit out in a bowl. Next time hunger strikes, you'll be ready with a healthy snack.

Healthy Eating Tip #4: Make Recipe Substitutions You Won't Even Notice

Whenever you can, opt for lower fat ingredients in recipes: skim milk instead of 2% or whole, low-fat cheese and mayonnaise instead of regular, light or fat-free salad dressing instead of full-fat dressing, ground turkey instead of ground beef, fat-free cream instead of regular. You can also reduce the sugar and fat a recipe calls for by one-quarter without affecting the taste or texture of your creation.

Healthy Eating Tip #5: Get Cooking!

Limiting restaurant meals is a good way to limit fat, sodium, and calories in your overall diet, and it makes it easier to stick to a healthy eating plan. Rediscover how fun it is to cook at home and get the whole family involved in cooking healthful meals at home.
