There are so many reasons why people choose to get fit, eat healthy, etc. Some people are warned by their doctor that if he/she doesn't lose weight, he/she will die. Some people may choose to do it to get the attention of someone special or keep the attention of a significant other. Some people may do because they've reached the point where he/she is afraid that if action isn't taken, he/she may not be able to physically get out of bed. Everyone should exercise and eat healthy regardless but take a look around you. How many people do you pass on the street who obviously don't? Why? Because it's easier to go through a drive thru or cook a meal in the microwave. It's easier to get in a car and drive that half a mile to your destination that walk or get on a bike. Because it's easier to sit on a couch to watch TV than go for a walk/jog/bike ride for pure enjoyment. The key word is easier - it's easier to be lazy than healthy. The truth is, though, everything is easier when you are living a healthy, active lifestyle. The healthier you are, the better you feel. For Instance, take a flight of stairs and a healthy person versus an unhealthy person. Who has it easier climbing that flight of stairs? The same thought process applies to playing with your children, going to work functions, even getting dressed in the morning. Taking the first step into a healthy lifestyle is easy. Maintaining is hard. You do have to work for it. But the harder you work for it, the easier it is to love the results!
