Summer is officially over. No more bathing suit season or short shorts. If you're going to detour on your fitness journey, this is the perfect time, right? WRONG! This is the time to make sure those healthy habits are in place. The holidays are around the corner and people think that overeating at this meal or bring home the leftovers from that meal or that extra eggnog won't derail your progress too much bit research shows, on average, Americans gain 1 to 2 pounds by New Year's. You may ask why that's such a big deal. It's only 1 or 2 pounds after all. Most of the time, that weight is never lost. Year after year, that adds up. In five years, that's 10 pounds. It can take an average of 2 months to really create a habit so if you haven't yet, now is the time to start your nutrition plan. Stick with it every day and be as compliant as you possibly can. Start now and you'll dominate those holiday meals. Remember, you can't outrun a bad diet!
